Telescopic forklifts
Telescopic forklift units are outfitted with a pronged lift on an arm which extends over the top of the truck providing great height and versatility. The arm, or crane, is called a telescopic boom. The boom allows the operator to lift the load to great heights while maintaining a high degree of control. Regular forklifts could not move the load towards and away from the forklift cab, whereas a telescopic forklift allows that movement. The telescopic forklift is usually used in construction and agriculture. It is better for applications where greater control and lift is required.
A forklift carton clamp attachments are better in situations requiring high volume carton handling. The attachment has arm pads with four way reversible rubber linings which allow the operator to apply uniform clamping force when picking up a cargo. It is available with a backrest that protects the cargo from damage.
A slip sheet attachment fits onto a slip sheet forklift. It is used for storing systems that don't use pallets. The attachment clamps onto the slip sheet and pulls it onto the forklift forks. This kind of system is handy for intra-corporate deliveries and for overseas shipments.
A lift platform that is meant to hoist staff is called a Man Basket. It attaches to the forklift forks and a chain or strap is utilized to attach the basket to the forklift carriage. The platform has railings to protect the staff from falling to the ground. Brackets on the platform are utilized for fastening the safety harness of the worker.
