The global leader in the manufacture and design of a huge array of Peiner Grapples and Buckets is SMAG Germany. Our production line is comprised of electro-hydraulic motor grabs, mechanical motor grabs, hydraulic lifting devices, a variety of other types of specialized lifting equipment and single rope radio control grabs.

To date, Peiner has provided over 75,000 models throughout the world. Our unique grabs deal with a variety of materials from iron ores, cement, coke, fertilizers, refuse and scrap, among a variety of other things. Our years of experience in developing excellent products and the overall designing process helps to enable our client's be given the proven technology their diverse applications require.

SMAG/Peiner has been represented by Peiner USA, Inc. for over 12 years in the US market place. Various industries like for instance Waste to Energy, Scrap handling, Steel Mills, as well as numerous other material handling facilities including Bulk Transfer Facilities now relying on our buckets and grabs to get their jobs done.

Peiner's design philosophy has continually revolved around the idea of producing grabs that handle the largest volume rather than grab dead weight. Typically, the grab and bucket lifting ratio's meaning that 60 percent of material is dead weight vs. 40 percent grab dead weight. This translates into moving greater quantities of materials faster. The wear and tear on the crane structure and its related components is less. Through a combination of manufacturing with high quality materials and innovative design, the weight ration which is desired is attained.

Grab sizes will vary from 1 cubic yard or less to more than 50 cubic yards in order to suit the needs of the client. Peiner USA Inc. also provides a complete spare parts facility and service facility for the models purchased in the United States, along with the addition of brand new grabs and buckets.
