Daewoo Dual Fuel Forklifts New Jersey

Basic Fuel Types of Forklifts
Forklifts are powered lift trucks that are utilized in various kinds of industries to move heavy supplies and products. Forklifts are tough and reliable machinery which are essential tools in warehouse and construction environments. Lift truck units differ depending on the type of fuel that is utilized to power the lift truck and the kind of work setting.

Electricity
Electric powered lift trucks are best for indoor settings, or in locations with limited ventilation because they make no exhaust fumes. They are designed with industrial strength batteries. Since the electric lift truck batteries require charging, the worksite will need a charging station. The batteries are tough and can be re-charged up to 1,500 times before they have to be replaced. The charging station must be located in a ventilated area and include an emergency eyewash station and an acid spill kit.

Propane
Forklifts powered by liquid propane have some advantages over electric and diesel powered machines making them fairly common in industrial and warehouse settings. Propane engines are a lot cleaner than diesel-powered units. There is no down time needed to recharge an industrial battery, and the cost of electricity is more compared to the cost of propane. A lift truck propane tank can be refueled quickly and easily by changing out the empty tank with a full tank. Normally an off-site supplier refills the empty tank, making refueling very efficient and safe.

Diesel and Gasoline
Gasoline and Diesel forklifts are the machinery of choice for outdoor applications and rough terrain. They are normally found on construction sites and lumber yards. Their disadvantages comprise relatively high maintenance requirements, odorous exhaust and fairly high fuel costs. Their benefits comprise dependability in tough conditions and a longer lifespan than other units. Diesel and gasoline units must be refueled at a supply station on site which meets safety and health regulations.
