Utilize a Pneumatic Forklift
Pneumatic forklifts are common in warehouse and shipping operations. Also called pump trucks or pallet trucks, they are used to move things and supplies around on wooden pallets using metal forks which are mounted on a wheeled counterweight. The counterweight contains a pump which lifts the forks off the ground. A pallet truck is intended to be operated by one individual.
Pallet trucks must be operated with care to prevent loss of control while lifting heavy loads. Equipment must be inspected before operating. Clear the wheels area of any obstructions. Make sure that the handle turns smoothly. The pallet must be stacked carefully to ensure that nothing would fall off during transportation.
To release air in the pump and lower the forks, squeeze the lever located on the inside of the metal loop on the end of the pallet truck's handle. The forks could then be pushed into the pallet slots. The forks must be centered in order to guarantee even distribution of the pallet's weight across them. Raise the forks from the ground by pumping the pneumatic lift's handle until the pallet has cleared the ground completely. Do not raise the pallet too high or the forklift could unbalance.
Pull on the handle and drag it behind you if you want to move the pallet. It is really dangerous to push the pallet ahead of you as the momentum could cause it to lose control. Slowly take turns and don't attempt to stop suddenly. Slowly stop, squeeze the lever, and the forks would lower to the ground. Finally, remove the forks from the pallet by pulling them out. Return the pallet truck to its permanent location.
