JLG Telehandlers New Jersey
John L. Grove chose to stop working after spending numerous years working side by side with his brother to build their crane manufacturing business into a world leader. John as well as his wife Cora celebrated their retirement by going on a cross-country trip using their R.V. After that particular trip, JLG Industries, Inc. emerged and became the world's top manufacturer of mobile aerial work platforms and specialized material handling machinery.
In the R.V. journey, John spent much of the time talking to prior business associates who the Groves stopped to visit along their journey. While they were visiting the Hoover Dam, tragically, 2 workers were accidentally electrocuted on scaffolding. During subsequent conversations, John discovered a big untapped market for a product which can quickly and safely raise people into the air to be able to carry out construction and maintenance functions.
After John and his wife returned from the trip, John decided to take action. He and two close friends formed a business and afterward bought a small metal fabrication company in McConnellsburg, Pennsylvania. In 1970, with an original team of 20 employees, the trio built and sold the very first JLG aerial work platform. Many components of the basic design elements of that first equipment are still being incorporated into the current equipment
The company has come a very long way ever since John L. Grove drove back into town from his cross-country trip and have grown significantly ever since they debuted their very first aerial work platform. Even nowadays, JLG continues to expand into additional global markets. Many innovative products are made to help customers be more productive and work safer.
JLG has remained devoted to being at the forefront of the business. The business takes operator comfort into account really seriously. They attempt to deliver in performance, as well as safety and overall comfort so that the operator could be as effective as possible.
